My Blog Can Make Money!

Last month I wrote a review for JohnChow.com and asked the question, “Can my blog make money?” I wanted to see if John’s tips could work for a “real” personal blog to make money. April is now over and I have the results.

Kontrea = $1.07
Adsense = $3.34
Talkshoe = $24.34
Text Link Ads = $0.00
Review Me = $0.00
Affiliate Networks = $0.00
TOTAL: $28.75

I know the numbers are low but it’s a start. It also seems that my podcast on talkshoe is more popular than my blog. To get to the point, yes, if you use the tips on JohnChow.com you can make money online. But to make the big bucks you need great content and traffic. I think I am getting more of both of those every day.

Ever since I started my marketing campaign for this blog I have been getting a lot of great feedback and readers. I will try the same tips this month to see if I can make even more money and gain more readership. I think the only thing holding me back now is traffic and exposure.

    everyone steals ideas… i bet you have used someone elses idea before. I am a graphic designer and know for a fact that designers steal ideas from each other all the time. Some of mine have been stolen and I myself have used others ideas to get me heading in a new design direction.

    So everyone does it. Also your hate site is a great idea to get traffic. It got me to read your blog! I think I will start the ihateAYogaCoffeeOutlook.com! And see if it works for me. ;)
