This Sunday I got the opportunity to see the Symphony at Hinez Hall. The Hall its self was amazing. You can probably tell this was my first time ever attending an event at Hinze Hall.
The music was by Dmitri Shostakovich, a Russian composer during the Communist regime. You could really feel the oppression in his song even though the communist state forced him to write songs with a triumphant vision of Russia. It’s amazing how carefully he was able to hide his true feelings in his music. I was impressed!
I enjoyed myself so much that I am planning on attending another event soon. Just need to save up a little money first.
