Bacon LIVE: Did we even talk about bacon?

On last night’s show Sean and I reviewed Mr. Porky’s pork crackles, a snack food from England. They were amazing, basically they were a pork rind but smaller. Watch to show to see what I mean. I plan to do a full write-up on them next week.

Also on the show was one of the best bacon rap videos ever. It was called “Gimie Dat Bacon” by Big Cheese. It tells the story of a young man’s love for the perfect breakfast food.

    Sorry I missed the show guys, sounds like you had at least one new guy in the chatroom!

    There was a slight mention of bacon thickness that was demonstrated with the sheet of paper and an envelope to describe Reddie Bacon. You also mentioned Hardees and Carl Jr’s with the awesome erotic bacon video.

    We also learned that Sean is a closet Buddhist and can be healed by the power of the mind and body instead of antibiotics. The awesomeness of Nyquil was brought up, but this can easily be substituted with The Nyquil: one shot of vodka, one shot of jaegermeister, and a touch of green food coloring. It does exactly the same thing, but tastes slightly better.

    Mr. Porky’s pork crackles are the crackins you can buy, usually at a grocery store on a styrofoam container (like hamburger) with a clear plastic wrapper. They’re extra crunchy, but have a fatty, chewy goodness on the inside.

    I have been trying to get several companies that produce pork rhinds to test them with BaconSalt. An original pork rhind has just a slightly salty taste, and the addition of BaconSalt (any flavor) makes them kick ass! I definitely recommend ya’ll try some on the next show. I think it would make millions of dollars.

    You failed to mention the awesome win from Wendy’s. I do hate their burgers, but I do love their salads when I’m too lazy to make my own. I found out last week that the GOOD APPLEWOOD SMOKED BACON only comes on the Bacon Deluxe and the Baconator. If you order any other item (like a spicy chicken sandwich) with bacon, you get the old, crappy, super-thin bacon.

    That would be cool. I always wanted a place to post my regular (non baconsalt) bacon experiments instead of mixing them in with my BaconSalt posts, and I still do a lot more with real bacon than with BaconSalt.
