This year the Des Moines, Iowa Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival promises to be bigger and better then the following two years. With over 600 tickets selling out in less than 25 minutes and the fact that they already have over 1,050 lbs of bacon, I would have to believe this is going to be the biggest bacon event in 2010. It was just announced the tickets sold out in 25 minutes after they went on sale. They even doubled the amount of tickets this year. I got mine and can’t wait. I’ve never went but talked to several that have in the past and heard it was great time.

I went to the first Bacon Fest and it was a great party. Great food and the events are cool. I missed out on tickets for #2 Fest but I won’t miss this one. I predict tickets will sell out by Friday.

That’s crazy, I lived in Des Moines for the past 7 years and have never heard of this event. I was planning a trip back to Iowa that weekend anyways, so I guess I’ll have to go to this. Thanks for posting the info on this!

The one in Pittsburgh will be at the end of this summer! I have big plan for it. You should come with us to the one is Iowa! It’s the largest bacon event in the world!
