Bacon LIVE: Real Men Eat Pig Brains

On last night’s show Sean share with us a pork product he found at a local discount store, Pork Brains. We didn’t eat them on the show but we plan to give them a try this weekend. Out of our friends we want to see whose man enough to try them first.

We also talked about a movie that Sean and I made a long time ago and never put up online. It has a great bacon related scene in it, so I will try to get it up as soon as I find a copy of it.

Sean will not be on the show for the next two weeks. This means that I will be doing the show solo or have to find a fill in. Sean said he will be back November 10, 2010 so don’t worry. So if you’re going to miss he you might want to watch this show more the once.

    good luck with the brains, guys. I am getting a butchered piggie in two weeks, from a farm in Maine – I was offered the brains from all the piggies going under the knife – nine of them. But couldn’t find any recipes that made it worthwhile. found this canned brains in white gravy product though – apparently it’s big down south. me, I’ll stick to pork chops.

    My friends and I had a pig roast on the 4th of July. Being a pig-lover, I felt that it was my duty to try all the parts that I could. This, of course, included hacking open the pig’s head and eating it’s brains. I can honestly say that I will NEVER do that again. It is incredibly bland, has a really mushy (yet grainy) texture, and leaves your mouth coated in grease. Maybe it would have been better if it was prepared or seasoned, but I don’t think it had enough natural flavor to justify trying again.
