This Wednesday Sean and I recorded the show live from the Harris Grill in front of a live audience. This was the first time we did this and it turned out really well. We were presented with delicious bacon creations created by the HG kitchen. Sean and I even shared with the audience just as promised.
The first two dishes that came out where chocolate covered bacon and bacon brittle. The chocolate covered bacon was the best I have ever had. I don’t know what kind of chocolate they use, but thats what made it so good. Each strip of bacon was covered with a think layer of the stuff. The bacon brittle was met with mixed reviews. Most people thought the flavor was over powered with smoke. Compared to the brittle they made for the Bacon tour last year, this was a better execution. It was crispy and had the right texture. They just need to work on the flavor now.
The last dish to come out was the crowed favorite, bacon wrapped pizza bits. Yes, I am talking about the Totino’s Pizza Bites wrapped in out favorite meat. You know you thought about doing it when you were in college, well the Harris Grill did it. If I could only eat one food these would be it.
