Pittsburgh’s #1 Podcast

Pittsburgh’s hottest podcast, Shinyfire Radio, has just moved its operations to talkshoe.com. Talkshoe is a podcasting service that allows you to record your show live. Its biggest benefit is the audience can chat or call in to interact with the show, while you record.

This new format is perfect for the guys at Shinyfire, who use to talk to just one caller at a time with the old setup. They now can have over 100 people interacting with the show at the same time.

They recorded their first show on talkshoe last Monday and it sounded like they had a lot of fun. It’s going to take awhile before they get everything worked out, but they are off to a good start. You can listen to the show at Shinyfire.com.

Remember to tune in live Mondays @ 8:15pm EST.
Note: I have no relation to the host, Jason R. Mosley, that guy is a tool.

Star Trek Nightmare

Last night, right before I went to bed a friend of mine sent me this video of Patrick Stewart singing the Alphabet. Yes, I am a nerd for knowing who Patrick Stewart is and that he played the Captain on Star Trek, but that’s not the point.

The point is how creepy the video is. Once you start watching you notice that he never looks away from the camera, it’s like watching a Bela Lugosi movie. I embed this video in this post but watch at your own risk.

After watching this, I was mildly disturbed.

The Mattress Factory Art Museum

I am amazed by how many people in Pittsburgh don’t know about the Mattress Factory. The Mattress Factory is an installation art museum located in the North Side since 1977. It houses contemporary art that is in room-sized environments that most of the time you can interact with.

I have been there many times since the exhibits change every few months. There are only a few permanent installations. Some of it really pushes the envelope of what art really is, and then there are some that just amaze you. The latest exhibit looks like it’s a good one, so I am planning to make a visit sometime in June.

Here is a quote from their website:
Each exhibition is paired with a variety of engaging and inventive educational programs including hands-on art projects, workshops, lectures, and tours. The Mattress Factory encourages all viewers, regardless of their background, to discover connections between art, creativity and their everyday lives.

Visit Mattress.org to get information on hours of operation and schedule of events.

BBQ Bacon Tendercrisp

So I was watching TV, minding my own business when I saw a commercial for the Big BBQ Bacon Tendercrisp from Burger King. This sandwich looks amazing and it has the two meats I love the most, Chicken and Bacon. I am glad to see that the fast food market is starting to see that this is a high bacon demand. It seems that there are all coming out with new bacon themed sandwiches.

I hope I am not disappointed with this one like I was with the Baconator. Wendy’s always makes there bacon to chewy. Everyone knows that crispy bacon is better! Plus that think the two meat patties are over kill and takes away from the bacon. Burger King is doing the right thing by not making this thing a monster, like Wendy’s did. This actually looks enjoyable to eat.

Making Money in June

Every month, starting with this one, I am going to post my income I make from blogging. The last time I did this was April. As you can see my numbers are really improving. They almost doubled in two months. That is the main reason I want to start doing this every month, to see what kind of trend I have going on here.

Like a said yesterday I have another big idea in the works and I hope it too makes me some money. I am going to add some Adsense to talkObjectivism.com and see what it can do with that. Right now its only money maker is the podcast. I am also redesigning my hosting company’s website (Pagewaiter.com) and I am going to start marketing it again. Next month will probably be to soon to see what the new projects add to my income but August will be the moment of truth.

Talkshoe = $15.07 (talkObjectivism.com)
Buy Me a Drink = $13.50
Adsense = $8.24
Other = $2.25 (Top Secret)

Total = 39.06

Thanks to Beth for the coffee and Dug for the case of PBR!

Happy Independence Day

While you are cooking out today, try to remember why this is a free country. Think about the men that fought for your freedom. Think about they how they stood up to the British out gunned and out maned. Would you have done that today? Just something to think about while your waiting for your hot dogs to cook.

Also, I have been working on a few other projects so that its why my updating is not consistent. One of the projects is just about to wrap up so I should have more time to write. Don’t worry I will tell you all about them once they are done. One is an update to an old project and the other is a new idea to help my fellow bloggers.

Well that’s about it for now. I will be posting my “Make Money Online” report sometime tomorrow. I think I am going to be happy with how well I did this month. Also remember to check out my new advertising page, I have a lot of options to choose from.
