I Have an Apple I Can’t Eat

I have been kicking around the idea to get a Mac for months and just never had the money to get it. Even though my work gives me a zero interest lone to buy a computer I still need to pay for it first then they cut me a check. I guess it’s so they know that you are using 100% of the money to buy a computer and not a flat screen. So it make is hard because you have to front the money first.

Well that all changed. If you remember, at the end of last month I went to Vegas to work a conference. While I was there I had to work about six 12 hour days, so my overtime was sky high. Well yesterday was pay day and I got the big overtime check.

On my lunch brake I ran to an Authorized Apple dealer to get a Macbook. To my surprise the new faster Macbooks were announced that day, but I was told they didn’t have them in. I asked if the older models were discounted. They told me only $100 bucks I really wanted a computer that day so I said I will take it.

When the Apple guy returned he had a big smile on his face. He leans over to me and whispers, “The new ones are back there, do you want one?” I take one step back (I hate close talkers), and say, “Hell yeah!”

When I get to the checkout the computer is so new that it’s not even in the system, the manger had to work his magic. Then unknown to me I had raise the daily amount I can put on my card. After I tried paying the first time, I got a phone call from American Express. After I proved it was me buying the computer everything was fine. After all that I got the New Faster Macbook.
