Thank god I have friends that also enjoy Chuck Palahniuk or I would have forgotten that he just came out with a new book. I don’t know how it happened but it slipped my mind. As soon as I found out I ran out to Barns and Noble to pick up a copy. It’s called “Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster Casey” and it’s about 319 pages long.

I would just like to start out my saying the cover looks amazing. If I could get a poster size version of it I would. Also the book is perfect size. But that’s the main reason I like Chuck, his books are never to long or to short.

I am only 30 pages into the book and I’m already hooked. Its written in a weird style were its like the characters are being interviewed after this guy dies. There are so many characters being introduced and they all have there own dialect. So even if it didn’t tell you who was talking you would still know just by how they talk. It is amazing how Chuck can create a dynamic character so quickly.

I will give my full review of this book as soon as I finish it. I am a slow reader so I might take me six weeks to get though this one.

I saw that at Boarders last week. I picked it up briefly, but I opted for Phil Esposito’s autobiography instead. I’m also a slow reader, so I based my decision on which one would be less likely to sit on the shelf unread for a long period of time. Espo won.
