Well it looks like last Sunday I dropped the bacon and didn’t record any of my podcast. I really tried to do them, but I was having technical difficulty with my internet connection and VOIP. I think the main problem was that it was really cold out side and Comcast sucks!
Just to let you all know even though I was not recording I was still working on the podcast. Since my blog commentary is not that popular I was looking in to spicing it up with music. I think it will brake up my rambling and make in more interesting to the average listener.
So if everything goes there will be two new podcast this Sunday. If not I will be canceling Comcast and give Verizon a call.
Here is another installment it the ever popular Ask Google. If you have no idea what I am talking about. Then you should check out these links (link 1 / link 2). They’re the links to the original features I wrote, that appeared on shinyfire.com.

The question for Google was “Who I am?” The answer is in the attachement.

So it looks like I have some pair parts from a robot visiting my site. I wonder how it typed out this email to me.

Queston: Where did the road go?
Isn´t it rather “All roads bear to Rome”?

I know some if these Ask Google emails are old but I kind forgot about this feature. Looking at my site traffic it looks like someone linked my feature on shinyfire.com again. I am starting to get a lot of traffic from it. So I am not reminded that I promised to post the emails here from time to time.
So not to discourage people from emailing me, I will start to post the responses I got from the feature. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. There are some really witty people out there.
Wow, looks like money make guru, John Chow is at it again. This time he is giving away a free Zune. All you have to do I write about the contest on your blog and he will put your name in a drawing. Oh and I forgot to mention you need to link to his blog using that text “make money on the internet” and link to this post on his site about the contest.
Saturday, April 28th, Shinyfire.com is putting on an art show at the Creative Treehouse in Bellevue, PA. So far there will be over 8 artist showing their work, 2 DJs playing music, and 3 local bands rocking out at the event.

If you would like to help hand out fliers let me know and I will email you a PDF of the flier to print out.
We are hoping to make this a spring and summer event with the next one being in August. So if you’re an artist or band that didn’t make it on this show, let us know and you could be on the next.
I few years back (in 2003) Matt Gondek and I thought it would be a good idea to produce a live action comic book for Shinyfire.com. So one day we go out to the park with some friends and shoot the whole first issue.

It was a lot of fun to make but sadly when it was all said and done no one read it. We were planning to make more but since the lack feedback we got discourage. So here is the deal. If you have not read this before, do so now. If we get enough feedback (good or bad) we will be inspired to restart the series.
Sometime last year I ran across a blog call JohnChow.com, the blog of an internet marketing guru. Most of his posts talk about how to ”make money online” through google ads, text links, and many other affiliate sites.
Some people say that his blog is unrealistic because most of the money making tips would only work for a high traffic site like his. And that his $8,000 a month income from it would never happen to 99.9% of the blogs that try it too.
Well that got me thinking. Why not try some of John’s tips on this blog and see what a real “personal” blog can make. At the end of this month I am going to see how much money I pull in from Talkshoe, Adsense, text-link-ads, affiliate sales, and Kontera. I think I am going to make more this time then I have in the past, when I tried to monetize my blog. But I don’t think it’s going to be anything to get excited about either.
I first big step to see if this will work is writing this post about JohnChow.com. By writing this I will be linked on his front page. That will hopefully send some much need traffic my way. If you would like to get a boost in traffic too just write a review and read this.
UPDATE: So far I have only maded $12 but that mostly from talkshoe.com. It seems my podcast are more popular then my blog.
I am sick and I still manage to record two podcast last night. How is that for dedication! The blog commentary Bacon Radio was short and sweet. Since I only post three times last week. The second podcast Talk Objectivism was a little longer. Again I’m not really an expert on the philosophy, so I pretty much just rambled on. I really do need a co-host for this show. But in till I find one I just going to wing it alone.
You can listen and interact with these podcast at talkshoe.com. The links to their pages are on the right hand sidebar of this blog. I record both live every Sunday night after 8pm. I hope to one day get some live talkshoers on the show.
If you need help using talkshoe.com let me know and I will be glad to help.
